About Empac

Empac is a product studio. It builds products people can use on their own — and the design and visual systems that hold them together. This site is the hub for that world.

Built by Empac

"Built by Empac" is the through-line. Every product carries it, and every product is meant to stand on its own — self-serve, usable, no sales relationship required.

The umbrella holds work at different stages. Some products are live and maintained, like GameShuffle. Some are infrastructure for everything else, like CascadeDS, the design system underneath it all. Some are in development, and some are still concepts being worked out. Empac Visual produces photography and video for businesses that need fresh visual content, and a design catalog of templates and tools is on the way.

Who's behind it

Empac is the studio of Britton Lorentzen, who designs and builds the products and the systems they run on. That's the credibility behind the work — not a pitch, just who's accountable for it.
